NICVA CEO Seamus McAleavey said that: "The public needs to see detailed plans that set out each department’s expenditure for the next 4 years set against the baseline of this current year’s expenditure. Only then will we be able to come to an informed view and be able to respond to the budget consultation."
Consultation meetings
NICVA is also organising a series of consultation meetings for voluntary and community organisations with individual departments to discuss the plans in more detail. You can find out more here.
Extension of consultation deadline
The NI Executive issued a press release on 13 January to announce the extension of the consultation deadline. The consultation period will now close on 16 February. The Executive is aware of the challenging timescale that exists for the formulation of a final Budget and has agreed to schedule a special meeting following the end of the consultation period which will focus entirely on budgetary matters.
The Vital Links project is part-financed by the European Union's European Regional Development Fund through the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation (PEACE III) managed by the Special EU Programmes Body. The Special EU Programmes Body is the Managing Authority for the European Union's PEACE III Programme.
