Equality Commission seminar programme
A series of seminars this autumn to help voluntary sector employers meet their responsibilities under employment equality legislation.
This seminar series is being delivered by the Equality Commission in partnership with NICVA. The seminars are all free and take place at 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast.
* Fair Employment Monitoring and Review - 13 October
Seminar at providing voluntary sector employers with information & practical guidance on how to meet statutory monitoring duties under Fair Employment legislation and complete an Article 55 Review.
* Recruiting Fairly - 17 October
Seminar aimed at assisting voluntary sector employers seeking to ensure that they meet recommended best practice when recruiting staff.
* Bullying and Harassment at Work - 10 November
Co-delivered with the Labour Relations Agency, this seminar is suitable for all employees seeking an understanding of the types of behaviour that lead to complaints of harassment or bullying and the responsibilities placed on employers and employees to prevent these occurring.
* Notes and Queries - 9 December
A briefing lunch aimed at providing managers and HR professionals with an update on current developments in equality legislation and best practice.
