New First Line Managers in the making
13 participants from 8 organisations across Northern Ireland have begun the 2011 spring session of Institute of Management and Leadership (ILM) level 3 in First Line Management (FLM) as part of the Reaching Communities NI Support and Development Programme funded by The Big Lottery Fund.
This ten week programme has been designed specifically for the voluntary and community sector. It includes current management theories and practical tools and gives an overview of management, providing a stepping stone to other qualifications.
Over the last three years, 89 people have participated in the First Line Management programme, which runs three times during the year. We are currently recruiting for the October intake.
A key element of the programme is to meet and work alongside other voluntary and community groups and this has proven a hit with all the participants in each First Line Management course.
