New training calendar on the way

The calendar has been developed to meet the needs of the voluntary and community sector. It is based on training needs identified by our members and the future challenges that the sector faces. There is wide range of courses including Winning contracts, Money from grants and Managing finance, and there are a number of newly developed courses to meet your demands such as: Becoming an effective team leader, Improving your facilitation skills, Getting your message across, Presenting yourself and Managing change in the workplace.

Accreditation is available for a large number of the training sessions. We can offer unit accreditation for First Line Management sessions from the Institute of Leadership and Management and accreditation from Queen's University for the Managing to fundraise two day course.
 
Courses are open to anyone in the sector, but NICVA members benefit from a 30% discount on all sessions. The courses are delivered in NICVA, unless stated otherwise, but if there is significant demand in other areas additional courses can be run. Demand is usually high and places are limited so please book your place at least one week before the date of the training.

We have minimum numbers for each course and so we need to know in advance if people plan to attend. If you are unable to attend you must inform NICVA five working days in advance otherwise you will be invoiced for the full cost of the course. See individual course listings for prices.
 
If you can’t find what you are looking for in the calendar, NICVA also offers a bespoke training service to organisations in the voluntary and community sector on an individual basis.
