NICVA will be working with these groups to provide support, one to one sessions and training over the next 3 to 5 years. The recently awarded groups are:

Mount Vernon Community Development Forum
Mind Yourself!
Creggan Education And Research Services Ltd
South Down Family Health Initiative
Arthritis Care
Belfast Activity Centre
The Old Library Trust
Countryside Recreation: Northern Ireland
Farset Youth & Community Development Limited
The Northern Ireland Community Development And Health Network Ltd

Reaching Communities NI, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, was launched in April 2006 with the aim of improving communities and the lives of people most in need. Approximately £18 million was made available for distribution between 2006 and 2009. In addition, the Big Lottery Fund put in place a development and support programme, delivered by NICVA, to support and build the capacity of grantholders to ensure the effective delivery of their projects and their outcomes.
