Want to get more involved in policy?

Are you or your organisation interested in trying to influence policy makers?

NICVA's policy fora aim to enhance the capacity of organisations to make policy responses, coordinate policy information, participate in policy development, and influence decision making.

Chaired by policy experts in each subject, the fora aim to meet three or four times a year at NICVA and venues across the country. Membership is open to any organisation or individual with an interest in these topics and you don't need to be a policy expert to attend.

Upcoming meetings:

Men's policy forum

The next meeting of this forum will take place on Monday 1 June from 2.30pm to 4.30pm in NICVA. Members will continue to focus specifically on men's health and education issues.

Policy and lobbying forum

This dedicated forum for those specifically interested in lobbying the NI Assembly will meet again on Wednesday 3 June from 10.00am to 12.00pm in NICVA. The morning will include a presentation on evaluating public affairs work.

Older people's policy forum

The forum will meet again on Friday 19 June in NICVA from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The guest speaker will be John McGarvey, Assistant Director of Older People's Services in the Western Trust.

More forum meetings will be scheduled to take place over the coming months. Please check www.communityni.org for the latest updates.
