Formal Notification Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 19 November 2010
NICVA’s AGM which will take place on 19 November 2010 at NICVA. I remind you that only paid up members of NICVA for the financial year 2010-2011 are eligible to submit resolutions, vote at the Annual General Meeting, and take part in the elections of a new Executive Committee.
One third of NICVA’s Executive Committee is elected each year. Your organisation is, therefore, invited to nominate candidates for election. Elected candidates will serve for a period of three years from November 2010.
Please use the nomination form and the candidate's biographical information sheet for this purpose and return these to us no later than 16 September 2010. We shall issue you with ballot papers following this date.
NICVA’s Standing Orders allow for resolutions to be put to the AGM by NICVA members. Any such resolutions must be lodged in writing with the Company Secretary by 16 September 2010. Resolutions must be proposed and seconded by two full NICVA members, or by the Executive Committee, and may be accompanied by an explanatory text of up to 500 words. NICVA will circulate received resolutions, and any amendments to its members.
