AddictionNI is a registered charity working at community level providing a service for people who are abusing alcohol and drugs and dealing with people who are concerned about alcohol and drugs. The treatment service provides individually tailored treatment programmes to individuals and, if necessary, their family. All counsellors are professionally trained and offer counselling on a one-to-one basis.
Help for alcohol and drug misuse
At Addiction NI we know how hard it can be to finally face up to having a problem with alcohol or drugs (including prescription drugs). You’ll find our counsellors don’t make judgements.
Help for over 55s
Addiction NI has years of expertise in working with older people affected by alcohol or drug use. Many people think that it is too late for an older person to change their drinking or drug use, including misuse of prescription medication. Addiction NI has found that this often not the case. Our Older Focus Service is tailored to meet the needs of older people and has been developed in consultation with older people.
How our treatment works
You can contact Addiction NI by telephone, by e-mail, by letter or in person at one of our centres.
When you phone one of our centres, you’ll speak to one of our friendly receptionists. Respect for you and your privacy is important to us. They can arrange an appointment for you with one of our trained counsellors. They can also help with directions to the centres and other useful information. Our staff work hard to ensure we can see people as quickly as possible.
We are open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 1pm on Fridays.
