Can with Candle

We are a worldwide charity operating locally in Northern Ireland. Our objectives include the saving of lives, advancement of health, preventing and relieivng poverty, helping those in need due to age, ill health, disability, financial hardship and the advancment of education. We promoting equality and diversity, religious and racial harmony and the advacement of human rights, conflict resolution and reconciliation. We encourage the advancment of the arts, heritage, culture and science, citizenship and community development. The name of the charity is derived from the old saying 'It is better to light a candle in the dark than to complain about the darkness'
