Care In Crisis

Care In Crisis

Care in Crisis was set up as a Charity in 1994 to address the issue of crisis pregnancies in the local community and, in particular, teenage pregnancies.

We are founded on a Christian ethos which values the individual and treats everyone with love and compassion. Over the years, we have developed a professional counselling service for anyone who could benefit from it and for a wide range of issues. We have traditionally worked with teenagers, adults, couples and the elderly and more recently have extended our counselling service to primary school age children.

In 2011 we extended our premises to make it more suitable for the needs of the community with a reception area and disabled access counselling room and toilet facilities. Our flexible approach means that we can take our counselling service to schools and GP surgeries as an in-house provision on a contracted basis, usually with a named counsellor elected to attend weekly as required.

Services

Contact us on 028 3832 9900 to make a referral or to find out more about our services.

You will be invited to an initial appointment to discuss your situation and explore if counselling is the right thing for you at this time. If we are not the right agency for you we may be able to signpost another service for you.

Counselling is based on listening. It is not about giving advice or offering quick and easy answers. Counselling can help you understand yourself better, see the situation more clearly, enable you to take responsibility for your own life and make your own decisions.

Counselling is voluntary and confidential.

Opening hours

Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm
Evening appointments by arrangement but there is usually a longer waiting list.
