Citizens Advice Fermanagh

Citizens Advice Fermanagh

Fermanagh CAB was set up in May 1975 by a group of local community activists being representatives of our local Council and representatives of local community organisations and charities. The Bureau opened its doors to the public in May 1976. Until 1993, Fermanagh CAB was staffed wholly by Volunteers. In 1993 we secured funding for the first time in 17 years to recruit a full-time paid Manager. Since that time we have developed from being an organisation staffed by Volunteers only to one that employs paid Advisers to deliver generalist and specialist advice. Since 1976, we have worked on behalf of all the citizens of Co. Fermanagh to reduce poverty, social need and to promote inclusiveness. We are committed to providing a service that effects a positive difference to the quality of life of our fellow citizens. Our Generalist Advice and Specialist Advice service has been developed with the aim of integrating marginalised people across Co. Fermanagh into the community.
