Cullybackey Development Association
Cullybackey Development Association is a community group formed on 2011(replaced Cullybackey Residents Association) to improve the well being of the people of Cullybackey and its environs. The group has no full or part time workers but has 23 committee members and around 30 volunteers. CDA became a company limited by guarantee in June 2013.
Services
Current activities include:
- Running computer classes
- Overseeing the setting up of an Historical Society
- Overseeing Youth Club at Community Centre
- Developing a village plan
- Working in conjunction with Bann Maine West Hub Group
- Acting as a pressure group for improvements in village facilities.
Recent past events organized by the Agency include:
- A Country Ceilidh
- A volunteer “thank you” dinner
- A Jubilee fun day
Future plans include;
- Updating computer software
- Making better use of Community House
- Working closely with the other Community Group in the village
- Organizing community events
