Women only centre is commtted to alleviating the effect of structural and gender inequality on the lives of women through the provision of training & education, advice, advocacy & family support and childcare.

Over the past twenty eight years we have developed policy, practice and services aimed at the most vulnerable members of our community to break the cycle of violence and poverty.

The Falls Women’s Centre is based in West Belfast a community recognized as one of the poorest in Western Europe. The Centre is involved in the economic development of the community and aims to support women’s development within the area. Furthermore, the Centre is committee to exploring practical ways of helping women to play a more prominent role in the economic life of the community through the provision of training, education, childcare, advice, advocacy, counselling, health and well-being.

Services

Advice and Advocacy
Our unique Advice, Advocacy and Family Support Unit provide support to women and their families regardless of age, religious beliefs, nationality and sexuality. We provide a friendly, welcoming, safe, non judgemental and comfortable environment in a women only space. Our services include Advice, Advocacy and on-going Family Support for:

  • Survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexualised Violence, Rape and Child Abuse
  • Drug and Alcohol Abuse
  • Relationship Breakdown/Divorce
  • Immigration
  • Debt
  • Legal
  • Mental Health/Depression
  • Welfare Benefits
  • Housing Issues
  • In-house Counseling
  • Listening Ear
  • Complementary Therapies

Creche
It’s with great pleasure that we welcome you and your child to the Falls Women’s Centre. Your child is very special and we look forward to having him/her at our group.

Child Care
An integral part of the Falls Women’s Centre is the childcare facility, which is used by children whose parents are in work, who have returned to education and training and who seek advice, support and respite care.

Education and Training
The Falls Women’s Centre has a long established history for quality and excellence in the field of education and training. As a grass roots community led organisation we have been involved in community based education for the past 28 years.

Full Day Care: 8.00am – 5.30pm
Morning Sessions: 8.00am – 1.00pm
Afternoon Sessions: 1.00pm – 5.30pm

Creche
Monday – Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm
