Kinship Care Northern Ireland
Kinship Care Northern Ireland
To support Kinship carers in both formal legal and informal Kinship Care arrangements.
Kinship Care is an arrangement where a child who cannot be cared for by their parents goes to live with a relative or family friend.
At Kinship Care NI we are committed to building on our achievements and actively responding to the needs and aspirations of kinship children and their carers.
We aim to work in partnership to develop flexible forward thinking and effective services, which respond to the needs of every kinship family in Northern Ireland.
It is our vision that we will transform the way kinship carers are helped and supported in looking after and caring for their family/friends' children.
We provide a wide range of services, including a 'Caring for Kin' Project to support grandparents raising their grandchildren and a specialist 'Kinship Care Support Service' for children and young people in kinship care.
