We are an independent organisation whose main priority is to develop and support the community and voluntary sector of North Down through capacity building resource services advocacy training partnership and participation.

Our vision for the future is of an inclusive, peaceful and economically vibrant North Down which effectively promotes wellbeing and participation through an effective and co-ordinated voluntary and community sector.

Services

The Resource Centre offers two rooms for hire within the premises, the Brian O’Neill room, a large meeting room with digital presentation facilities in place, and a Counselling Room which has soft seating and is ideal for small, informal meetings.

In addition to the rooms for hire, the Resource Centre also has amenities such as male and female toilets, a disabled toilet and a small kitchen with tea and coffee-making facilities. These facilities are open to all making use of the community Resource Centre.

Members recieve:

  • Community Development including invitations to forums and networking events
  • Lobbying, Advocacy and inclusion in policy consultations
  • Advice on good practice in relation to finance and committee management
  • Priority Access to funding workshops and joint funding opportunities
  • Signposting, reduced room hire rates, and support with strategic and action planning
  • Network Publications – quarterly ezines, annual Network News, local publications
