The Centre for Economic Empowerment (CEE) is an observatory/thinktank and skills development project at the Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA).

The Centre for Economic Empowerment held its fourth masterclass in the series on Friday 27 January. The well attended seminar examined the Creative Class theory developed by Richard Florida and its potential implications for economic policy development in Northern Ireland.

NICVA's Centre for Economic Empowerment held a consultation event on the draft Northern Ireland Economic Strategy on 23 January 2012 in Belfast. David Sterling, DETI Permanent Secretary addressed the event, together with representatives from the social economy and the business sectors.

Full-time, fixed term 3 year post. Salary equivalent to NJC points 29-31 (£24,646 - £26,276 Candidates will normally be appointed on the first point of the scale).

The Minister for Enterprise Trade and Investment has published the Northern Ireland Executive’s draft Economic Strategy, which sets out the Executive’s plan to grow a prosperous local economy over the short, medium and longer term to 2030. The Executive is now seeking views on this draft document and the consultation period will run until 22 February 2012.
