NICVA has a highly experienced fundraising advice team who are able to help with all aspects of your fundraising needs, including:
- guidance on developing a strategic approach to fundraising
- help in identifying income sources from grant-makers, the general public and charity trading activities
- providing information on fundraising by our websites, NICVA News and social networking websites
- providing speakers on fundraising or facilitating workshops at conferences and seminars
- representation on grant-making initiatives on behalf of the sector.
Fundraising Advice Services
Fundraising Enquiry Handling: You can contact our fundraising advice team by email, telephone, social networks or arrange an appointment to discuss your fundraising query. Contact members of the team via the contact us page. You can ask us any question you have with regard to fundraising and if we can't answer we may know someone who can.
Information Provision: The information team provide guidance resources on a large range of fundraising issues.

GrantTracker: NICVA's fundraising advice team manage and develop the website www.grant-tracker.org which is a one stop resource for fundraising. Registration is free but to access the database of funders on GrantTracker you need to subscribe from £100/year. You can register online for Grant Tracker at the registration page or read more about GrantTracker by visiting the frequently asked questions page.
Representation: The fundraising advice team seeks to respond on funding policy issues and to represent the sector to government and other funders. NICVA's fundraising advice team is represented on the Institute of Fundraising NI Group and the Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB)
Training: The fundraising advice team provides training through a series of training events and on a consultancy basis. Visit the Training pages to see the latest training available, or contact the fundraising team on 028 9087 7777 to arrange training in your own organisation.
Special Fundraising Initiatives: NICVA also works on special initiatives to help develop fundraising policy and practice in Northern Ireland such as, for example, the Will to Give Campaign, which is aiming to improve the giving of charitable gifts in wills to Northern Ireland charities. www.willtogive.org.
