Ad Hoc Committee on a Bill of Rights to commence stakeholder consultation events

9 Mar 2021 Déarbhla Sloan    Last updated: 9 Mar 2021

Following their recent Call for Evidence, the Northern Ireland Assembly’s Ad Hoc Committee on a Bill of Rights has launched a series of stakeholder events.

The Committee has received oral briefings from representatives in the academic, legal and voluntary and community sectors, as well as over 2,400 responses through written submissions and survey responses from organisations and the general public.

To ensure that the Committee hears from a diverse range of voices and captures in-depth feedback, a series of stakeholder events will now be held during March and April 2021.

The full timetable of events can be found here. Events are based broadly around Section 75 groups, however, those who do not specifically represent one of these groups can attend the general public event.

To participate in the online discussion please email [email protected], detailing the name of the event you wish to attend.

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served, basis.
