Aviva Community Fund

The Aviva Community Fund will be open for submissions from 12th September to 10th October 2017.  Could your project be a winner this year?

Do you know a local project that needs funding?

For local projects, an ordinary thing can mean everything, but funding may be a challenge.  Last year, the Aviva Community Fund helped hundreds of local projects turn dreams into reality. This year, they want to help even more.

Help a local cause close to your heart

Aviva want to make sure all kinds of organisations can benefit from the 2017 Aviva Community Fund.  To be eligible, your project has to enrich the community, making positive changes to people’s lives in one of these four categories:

  • Health and wellbeing
Their health and wellbeing category aims to help people take control of their physical and mental health. This is the category for any project linked to physical or mental health, sport, outdoor pursuits or anything of that nature.
  • Skills for life
Their skills for life category aims to help communities and individuals improve their lives by learning useful new skills, particularly digital ones. Projects in this category can help people of all ages – from schools to groups for older people – develop skills to make their lives easier or more fulfilling.
  • Community support
Their community support category aims to help communities make their surroundings and aspects of their life sustainable. From regeneration projects to local support groups, this category offers support for anything that is important to your wider community, including community events.
  • Inclusivity
Their inclusivity category aims to help projects bring people together, no matter what their faith, colour, gender, abilities or sexual orientation. Projects in this category will help build relationships and develop closer ties within the community.

And to make sure projects of all sizes have the chance to win, they’re offering four funding levels:

  • Up to £1,000
  • Up to £5,000
  • Up to £10,000
  • Up to £25,000

Get your community behind you

Your favourite project will need as many votes as possible to get through to the Finals. The sooner you start drumming up support in the community, the better!  They’ve added hints and tops from experts to the Aviva Community Fund site to help you promote your project and make more of your people and resources.

Everyone who registers at https://www.aviva.co.uk/good-thinking/community-fund/?cmp=otl-acf-outreach---nicva gets 10 votes. They can vote at any time during the voting phase, spreading their votes around or using all 10 to really get behind their favourite project.

Cash in on your Aviva connections

Have you got an Aviva customer or employee involved in your organisation? If you have, it could pay for them to enter the project into the Aviva Community Fund for you.  Aviva will give £200 to any project submitted by an Aviva customer or employee that doesn’t win funding through votes or the judging panel (subject to due diligence checks). Please read the terms and conditions for more information about who qualifies as a customer and employee.

First to 1,000 votes

They know how much work it can take for volunteers in smaller projects to pull their entries together and rally voters.

Most of those projects ask for funding up to £1,000. To recognise all their hard work, they’ll automatically give the first 200 projects to reach 1,000 votes in this funding level the funding they ask for (subject to due diligence checks). They’ll do the same for the first 15 projects submitted by both brokers and advisers to reach 1,000 votes. Please read their terms and conditions to find out more.

If you’re one of the lucky 200 projects, they’ll let you know. That means you can take your foot off the pedal, secure in the knowledge that your hard work has paid off.  If you’re not one of those 200 projects, you’re still in with a chance of winning your funding.

So, with more chances than ever before to win, get involved today at https://www.aviva.co.uk/good-thinking/community-fund/?cmp=otl-acf-outreach---nicva
