Basic bookkeeping for small charities, sponsored by the Halifax Foundation

NICVA held the first of its basic bookkeeping sessions in Belfast on Thursday 28 September.

The session, for treasurers of small organisations, concentrated on the very basics of bookkeeping.

Participants were taken through the different books and cash handling procedures which should be in place for the finances and got the hands-on experience of completing a cheque ledger and doing a bank reconciliation.

Very informative, useful, practical session.  Great tutor

Linda McBurney, Trustee, Belfast Print Workshop

The next session will be in Stewartstown on 11 October - places are still available. The basic bookkeeping sessions are kindly supported by the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland.
