Christmas Food Drive 2018 – Donations needed

It’s the time of year again when NICVA will be participating in a food drive to support families living in North Belfast.

As we all know, Christmas can be a very challenging time for families, and with the onset of Universal Credit in North Belfast, this Christmas may be tougher than others.  We are appealing for people to donate some items to the Christmas appeal (see list of some of the essential items below).  We will have donation boxes in our reception area and would encourage you to bring in whatever you can to support families in food poverty this year.

Suitable food items and toiletries to donate include:

  • Rice/pasta/noodles
  • Jar of sauces – chilli/curry/Bolognese
  • Soups
  • Jams
  • Sugar / tea / coffee
  • Tins of potatoes/peas/carrots/beans
  • Super noodles/pot noodles
  • Tins of fruit/creamed rice/custard/jelly (for kids)
  • Diluted juice
  • Cereals
  • Tins of tuna / ham
  • Long life milk

  • Shower gels
  • Soap
  • Toothpaste
  • Toilet rolls
  • Shampoo

The closing date for donations is 14th December 2018.'s picture
