Cinderella Premier

Seamus McAleavey and Kenneth Branagh

Over 350 peopled joined NICVA's Honorary President Kenneth Branagh at the premier of Cinderella.

The movie screening, at the Moviehouse on the Dublin Road on Sunday afternoon, was in aid of NICVA and Into Film, a film education charity and raised £3500 to split between the charities. Starring Lily James and Richard Madden as Ella and Prince Kit, Branagh’s live-action retelling of the 1950 classic Cinderella also features Cate Blanchett as the stepmother Lady Tremaine and Helena Bonham-Carter as the fairy godmother.

Sir Kenneth said, “I've had the great good fortune to work with and learn from NICVA across the last 25 years and they help every voluntary group in the province who are doing amazing things. So anything that gives them a bit of a nudge or a bit of attention is great to be invovled with."

NICVA CE Seamus McAleavey said, "Kenneth has been our Hon President for nearly 18 years now. He always tries to have a premier in Belfast. It's absolutely great that somebody like him, who has been away from Northern Ireland for quite a while, and who is very busy stil thinks and cares about this place."
