Developing leaders - succession planning
What better way to provide for your organisation’s needs than developing the staff that you have?
“The aim of succession planning is to be able to fill key roles effectively if a current post holder leaves the organisation or changes role” – CIPD
Succession planning involves identifying individuals with the potential to step into leadership roles as short-term or longer-term successors. By proactively developing individuals through training, coaching and work shadowing you can provide a ready source of future leaders.
The aim is to develop talented people who are adaptable, confident and capable of filling a variety of roles.
How NICVA can help you with your succession planning
We are developing a leadership series that will focus on different levels of leadership with the aim of improving skills and increasing confidence.
We know that many people who participate in our training, especially our accredited training go on to take on more senior roles and more responsibility.
We are offering a range of options for leaders and managers starting with first-line to middle managers in February and March.
Lunchtime leadership series
These 1.5 hour sessions will focus on a specific learning topic each lunchtime, providing impactful and practical training in bite-sized chunks. The sessions will help develop a growth mindset for your staff while developing them professionally. They will build confidence and provide opportunity for peer networking.
Each online session will be held from 12noon -1.30pm.
