Developing leaders - succession planning

Succession planning has never been more important. Recruiting staff with the skills and experience you need is proving so difficult at present.

What better way to provide for your organisation’s needs than developing the staff that you have?

“The aim of succession planning is to be able to fill key roles effectively if a current post holder leaves the organisation or changes role” – CIPD

Succession planning involves identifying individuals with the potential to step into leadership roles as short-term or longer-term successors. By proactively developing individuals through training, coaching and work shadowing you can provide a ready source of future leaders.

The aim is to develop talented people who are adaptable, confident and capable of filling a variety of roles.
