Do you have a Big Idea?

NICVA's 'Big Ideas: Festival of Economics' will bring together key note speakers, panels, workshops and conversations to spark debate about the big ideas that could transform our economy. And we want you to be part of it.

The one day festival is a huge free event that will take over every nook and cranny of the NICVA building. We have over 20 speakers already lined up who will initiate dialogue about the cancellation of debt, universal affordable childcare, better economic data, universal basic Income, political debate on a Left-Right economic axis and a host of other great ideas.

The festival could be a great platform for your ideas too - the big ideas that originate in our sector and beyond. The event is open to everyone and we encourage participation from those not normally involved in policy or economic debate to put forward their ideas or just to come along to hear from our great speakers and join the discussions. So whether you are interested in the arts, employment, disability, health - our event has something for you.

Details of our speakers and debates are listed on our event booking page but to help you choose which part of the event suits your area of interest we've developed this interactive chart:

The festival will also focus on practical skills development sessions on things like Understanding Economics and How to Cost Your Policy Ideas.
