Fermanagh Community Transport (FCT) is a Charity formed as a result of a merger between Rural Lift for South West Fermanagh and FAST Rural transport, both of who had previously been delivering successful community transport since 2000.

FCT provide an affordable community transport service throughout County Fermanagh through a team of dedicated bus drivers and volunteers, using a mix of fully accessible minibuses and volunteer cars drivers.  They operate a range of services to their members including Dial-a-Lift, Group Transport and DATS (Disability Action Transport Service).Fermanagh Community Transport

A key aim of FCT is to reduce social exclusion and isolation for the people of County Fermanagh. FCT provide transport services for those who do not have access to transport due to age, disability, mobility or cost. FCT members use our services to access healthcare, local services, job opportunities, training, shopping and recreational activities throughout County Fermanagh.

A recent independent survey into Fermanagh Community Transport reported back that our users benefitted from our services by gaining greater independence, greater confidence, improved physical well-being, improved social interaction, improved mental well-being and improved access to services

FCT receive core funding from Department for Regional Development through the Rural Transport Fund and some funding from DARD for the Assisted Rural Travel Scheme (ARTS).

Fermanagh Community Transport on NICVA membership:
“NICVA membership is a benefit to FCT mainly due to the lobbying on behalf of the Community and Voluntary Sector. NICVA were able to secure a meeting recently for the FCT Manager to meet with the DRD Minister. Also the training and events within NICVA provide a great opportunity for training and networking."
