WOMEN'STEC is the largest quality provider of training for women in non-traditional skills in Northern Ireland. 

Based in Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, WOMEN'STEC encourage women to train in non-traditional sectors, with a view to employment thus contributing to a diverse workforce. TEC stands for Training, Enterprise and Childcare, and WOMEN’STEC provides these supports to women, many of whom are socially and economically disadvantaged. Some of the skills you can learn: Joinery, Furniture Making, Plumbing, Painting and Decorating, Gardening, Herbs and Soils, Wall and Floor Tiling, ECDL, Internet and Email, Word Processing and more...

The WOMEN’STEC Extending Training in Communities (ETC) programme accommodates training for women who are not working through flexible training delivered by a team of female tutors and staff with the added support of childcare and travel assistance where required. The training includes taster sessions and sampling workshops in a variety of trades and OCN accredited courses in trades.

The programme also includes Life Coaching & Personal Development, First Aid Training and site visits to a variety of workshops, as well as information sessions with professionals from the Careers Advice office, Women into Business and Business start-up advisors.
