This guidance produced by the Department of Health, sets out in one document what the coronavirus restrictions mean for individuals, for businesses and for other bodies including faith-based organisations.

The restrictions imposed by government have affected every part of peoples lives and they are complex and ever changing.

In order for communities to abide by these restrictions it's important that people can easily access in one place, a clear and authoritative guide to what is required, both in law and by way of guidance to limit the spread of COVID-19. The guidance does this and also sets out the current public health advice.

The guidance covers:

Face Coverings Regulations

Guidance for Individuals

  • Gatherings in private dwellings
  • Indoor and Outdoor Gatherings
  • Gatherings operated or organised by a responsible person
  • Risk Assessments

Guidance for Business including Self Employed People

  • Businesses that must stay closed
  • Theatres & Concert Halls

Public Health Advice

  • Social distancing
  • Shielding
  • Hand hygiene
  • Respiratory hygiene
  • Indoor Visits
  • Work
  • Travel, transport and holidays
  • Exercise and outdoor activity

Download the document attached to read the full guidance.

This guidance will change frequently to reflect changes in the Regulations. This version of the guidance reflects the Regulations as they stand on 28 August 2020.
