Stop COVID in its tracks

Since going live the ‘StopCOVID NI’ app has had over 250,000 downloads and NICVA is now urging those who already have the app to share it with family and friends.

Following a rise in positive Covid-19 cases in recent days, the Health Minister Robin Swann said: “The last number of weeks have shown that the virus is still here, it is still in our communities and we must all do what we can to limit its spread."

“Our efforts against this disease are most effective when we work as a collective and the app is no different. The app works by alerting users if they have been in close contact with someone who has added a positive test result to their app, thereby helping break the chains of transmission and helping to stop the virus in its tracks."

The StopCOVID NI app is fundamental in the fight against the virus. If you have already downloaded it, you are already helping protect your family and friends. Now ask your friends to do the same for you and your family. The more people are using the app, the more effective it will be.

NICVA fully supports the app and encourages everyone to share the it with all your contacts.  Simply open the app and click the ‘Share this App’ button.

The ‘StopCOVID NI’ app is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
