Help with Digital
Business in the Community, in partnership with Go ON NI and NI Direct, is offering free digital help for anyone who needs it. If you have a tablet, laptop or phone and need help to address a specific problem, our digital volunteers can help. Simply text the word DIGITALHELP (one word) to 67300* with a brief description of what you require help with and a volunteer will phone you within 48 hours with free, helpful advice on many topics. You can also get help with digital through the Skills Match platform. You can register here.
Digi Skills offers online training in a range of topics such as presentations, social media, online content and staying safe online. They also have community outreach programme to help bridge the inequality of access to technology and training.
COVID-19 digital checklist for charity trustees and leaders. This checklist to help charity boards and leaders with the decisions they need to make about digital during the crisis, and to get them thinking about what they’d like their charities to achieve during this time. It includes topics such as remote working, fundraising, services, strategy and governance.

GO ON NI for information, e-learning and training guides on many topics covering how to stay safe online, shopping and staying in touch through Social Media. NI Direct also have produced training - Learn how to get online, keep in touch online using social media apps with free internet texting, phoning and video call services whether you're new to the internet or wish to improve your basic digital skills. They also have guidance on how to stay safe online. These step by step training guides make it easy for you.

NI Libraries can give you help with technology and have a series of training sessions planned on digital topics such as Zoom, Whats app, scams and ipads
Cyber Aware is the UK government's advice on how to stay secure online during coronavirus. Over recent weeks there has been an increase in cyber threats and scams particularly around Covid-19. In response to this The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), working alongside the Home Office, the Cabinet Office and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), launched Cyber Aware, a refreshed campaign which aims to help individuals and organisations protect themselves online.
