NICVA staff and Executive Committee were delighted to receive the formal presentation of an Investors in People Gold Award in early March.

Minister for Employment and Learning, Stephen Farry, presented the trophy and certificate to NICVA's Chief Executive, Seamus McAleavey and Deputy Chief Executive, Una McKernan, at an event held in Belfast Castle.

NICVA Chief Executive Seamus McAleavey commented

"We are absolutely delighted to receive the IIP Gold Award as it is such a high quality standard with only around 1% of IIP recipients reaching Gold.

"NICVA focuses on continuous improvement and our services are entirely dependent for their quality on the ability of our staff. That is why we invest in our people and we have got exceptional quality in return. For that I thank all of our staff for this Gold Award and Una McKernan in particular for leading on the very extensive IIP process.

The journey, in terms of quality improvements, will not end here for NICVA as we continue to seek improvements through the IIP process and the EFQM process where NICVA also was awarded the Mark of Excellence".
