Meet The Fundraiser Success

Participants from ten grass root community organisations were successful in their application to meet and chat to some of Northern Ireland’s most experienced fundraisers.

The event took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, 22 September and was designed as a one off opportunity for NICVA members to gain advice and knowledge from professional fundraisers in all the different facets of fundraising to include; Strategic Planning, Major Donor, Corporates, Community/Events and Direct Marketing.

Each organisation had four 30 minute sessions with four different professional fundraisers to discuss their fundraising plans and to find out more about areas of fundraising they are exploring.

Deirdre Murphy, Fundraising Advice Officer at NICVA explains “It was a unique opportunity for groups to avail of the wealth of knowledge these fundraisers have. And now they can feel more informed and confident in their fundraising plans for the future”.

Clive Power, Trustee at Home Start Newry & Mourne said "I very much enjoyed that afternoon. All the talks were very interesting and informative. I will present all the excellent strategies to my Board".
