National Minimum Wage from 1 October 2013

From 1 October 2013 the minimum wage will increase.

The rate per hour depends on your age and whether you’re an apprentice as outlined below:

  • £6.31 – 21 and over
  • £5.03 – 18 to 20
  • £3.72 – under 18 but above school leaving age
  • £2.68 - This rate is for apprentices under 19 or those in the first year of their apprenticeship
