New training for 2021
Now with our online training in full swing we are well accustomed to adapting and delivering our training to you online – meaning you can join in from your desk at home or at work, and you don’t have to spend time traveling. The only downside is that you have to make your own tea/coffee. We have developed online resources to accompany all of our training and are looking at new ways of keeping you engaged.
You don’t have to miss out on accreditation with our online options you can still achieve a TQUK or ILM qualification. We have assignment support sessions as part of all our programmes and our trainers and assessors are always at the end of the phone or email if you need them.
We are delighted to introduce two brand new courses for next year. Our new ILM programme ILM level 4 Award in Leadership and management is specially designed for the times we are in focusing on leading complex team activities and developing a culture to support innovation and improvement. The TQUK Level 1 mental health awareness is also very relevant for the environment we are working in.
Due to high demand, we are offering our ILM level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management again as well as ILM level 5 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring. One of the great things about these programmes that run over several days and weeks is developing relationships with other managers in the sector and the peer support is one of the things we get great feedback about.
We also have our ILM level 3 Award in management of volunteers delivered in partnership with Volunteer Now. This has been adapted to the current situation whilst managing volunteers and is a great way to connect with other volunteer managers and hone your knowledge and skills. If you don't want the accreditation you can attend one or both of the workshops for a reduced fee.
We have a wide range of online training sessions for trustees and those who want to learn more about good practice in governance in their organisation. Charity Annual Reporting requirements is a free session on 13 January that will give you simple and practical guidance. Governance for new and nearly new trustees will help you understand your responsibilities as a trustee, while Risk assessment made easy will show you how to carry out a risk assessment and action plan. We are often asked what makes an effective chair, so our session on 23 February will cover that as well as effective chairing of meetings.
Sarah Travers from Bespoke communications has developed a new session for us on Presenting in an online world on 28 January and since many of us doing this daily it will be great to hear how to improve and maximise our impact. We are also offering Media skills training in partnership with Bespoke Communications in a new format with live workshop, online learning pack and a practice media interview with feedback from Sarah. Places are limited for this programme so please book early if you are interested.
