NICVA has a Hearty Lunch

14 Jun 2012     Last updated: 20 Jun 2014

As part of Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke (NICHS) Hearty Lunch fundraiser, NICVA staff tucked into an array of health treats today, Thursday 14 June.

Roisin Kelly, Skills Development Coordinator at NICVA organised the event for staff.  “I was keen to take part in this event and raise some money for this cause due to the loss of my daddy who died from a heart attack. It was also a great opportunity to bring colleagues together during a busy working day.  I would like to thank them for taking part, and for their generosity, raising over £85 for this cause.”

Events like these, organised by staff and supported by NICVA Management team, are one of the reasons for being shortlisted under two categories of the 6th annual Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards

Úna McKernan, Deputy Chief Executive of NICVA commented “NICVA is a unique place to work and this culture is in no small part attributed to the people who work here and their contribution to the culture and environment and the excellent attitude to work life balance.  This Hearty Lunch event is another example of how staff get together to contribute to something worthwhile, to benefit other communities and charities and of course to have some fun in the process”.

NICVA was delighted to take part in this event, which is raising money for services and support to thousands of people affected by cheat, heart and stroke illness in Northern Ireland.
