Senior managers in our sector are under pressure to be all things to all people; good with staff, great at listening, brilliant negotiators, emotionally intelligent, resilient, innovative, and finance professionals as well.

NICVA’s ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management will help you develop and improve these skills and behaviours by giving you techniques to effectively lead your project or organisation and manage your resources, such as finances and staff.  The ILM Level 5 Diploma is also a great opportunity to network with other managers in the sector and learn from each other, by sharing experiences and working together on discussing issues and solving problems.

The next ILM Level 5 diploma starts with an online induction on 25 February with the first training session on 25 March and continuing until June.  Running over 10 weeks, participants will explore topics including managing projects, working in partnership and professional presentation skills.  The diploma is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) and the costs £720 for NICVA members and £1,030 for non-members.  The course is targeted at senior managers or those aspiring to a senior management position.

Sandra Baillie, Head of Organisational Development at NICVA said, “The Diploma is a great opportunity for action learning and will give you the skills to improve your effectiveness in your workplace and make positive changes to your practice. The participants’ feedback in the videos speaks for itself.”
