NICVA is delighted to have been shortlisted under two categories for the 6th annual Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards: Work, Life & Wellbeing  (Small/Medium Organisation) & Best Place to Work (Small Organisation).

NICVA is one of over 60 organisations - many of them from the private sector - to be shortlisted in 10 categories ranging from ‘work, life and wellbeing award’ to ‘workplace excellence award’.

Úna McKernan, Deputy Chief Executive of NICVA commented:

We are delighted to have been shortlisted under two separate categories within the awards. NICVA is a unique place to work and this culture is in no small part attributed to the people who work here and their contribution to the culture and environment and the excellent attitude to work life balance."

The winners of the Irish News Workplace and Employment Awards will be announced at a gala event at Titanic Belfast this Thursday, 21 June 2012.

Susan Lavery, Human Resources Manager added:

“We are very excited about being shortlisted for the awards. As a non-profit organisation NICVA doesn’t link reward to bonuses or finance but we offer really generous family friendly policies, a flexible attitude to work life balance, and are committed to health and wellbeing. However, we don’t underestimate the workplace culture and the people who work here and all the activities they are involved in, which go towards making NICVA a great place to work.”
