Nineteen NI charities have the Will to Give
Northern Ireland charities joined forces today at NICVA to form a new organisation called Will to Give. The new organisation aims to raise awareness with the general public about leaving charitable donations in a will.
Speaking after the meeting to formally establish the new organisation, Neil Irwin, fundraising advice manager at NICVA said:
“It has been a pleasure to work with all nineteen founding members of Will to Give to get to this stage. We are all hopeful that the new organisation will create a lasting legacy in Northern Ireland."
The formation of the new organisation to promote legacy giving comes at a time when the BBC is educating the public on will-making through its current series “Can’t Take it With You” presented by Gerry Robinson.
Will to Give is now planning its public launch and considering how new charities will be able to join and benefit from the campaign.
