Northern Ireland Future Agricultural Policy Framework

DAERA has launched a consultation on a future agricultural policy framework for Northern Ireland.

The Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs is seeking to engage with stakeholders from the environmental sector on a future agricultural policy framework for Northern Ireland post-Brexit.

After the UK leaves the EU, the Common Agriculutral Policy will cease to apply here and therefore work needs to be carried out into what the future support arrangements for Northern Ireland will be.

Environment organisations and rural organisations from the sector may be interested in giving their views on the merits of the consultation document as well as what may be missing.

The link to the consultation can be found here. This consultation closes on 10th October 2018.
