Researchers at Queen’s University Belfast seek minority ethnic & migrant community representatives to join advisory group

Researchers from QUB are seeking representatives from community organisations that work with ethnic minority & migrant communities to join the advisory group for a new study on the experiences of education among minority ethnic groups.

Funded by the Nuffield Foundation, this research aims to develop evidence-based recommendations to enhance educational provision for minority ethnic pupils and families in the region.

The advisory group will meet three times over the course of the 20-month project – in late November 2021, June 2022 and January 2023 – and will provide guidance on the research approach and topics, engaging participant groups, developing evidence-based recommendations, and communicating the findings. Meetings will take a blended format and travel expenses will be covered for those able to attend meetings in Belfast in person. No prior experience of research is necessary.

If your organisation works with minority ethnic, migrant, newcomer and/or refugee populations, including young people, the team would love to hear from you.
