Building Strategic Corporate Charity Partnerships - 3 sessions

Primary tabs

25 May 2022 - 10:00am to 29 June 2022 - 12:00pm

This series of three sessions will be delivered by Remarkable Partnerships and will give you the skills and confidence to develop, build and secure partnerships with private businesses.

This is a series of 3 two-hour workshops over May and June, starting with a free introductory session on 4 May. They are designed and delivered by Remarkable Partnerships. Remarkable Partnerships are a team of consultants specializing in helping charities create major, long-term corporate partnerships.

Sometimes charities wonder why their corporate partnerships aren’t growing? It could be that they are underselling themselves, or focusing on companies that don’t fit with their cause, or struggling to really engage and inspire companies. They work with charities to improve their business development skills by being more engaging, focusing on the right prospects, developing compelling opportunities and securing more meetings.

The sessions will be delivered online through zoom from 10am-12noon on the following dates:

25 May 2022 Session 1 – Identifying prospects and building opportunities:

  • Introducing the priority industry approach.
  • The importance of contacts
  • How to identify your priority industries and target prospects
  • How to build a bespoke prospect opportunity based on shared purpose.
  • Sharing our proven brainstorming method.

15 June 2022 Session 2 – Securing meetings and delivering pitches

  • Who you are aiming to meet
  • Obstacles to securing meetings
  • Recommendations to increase your chances of securing meetings
  • How to deliver a brilliant meeting
  • The power of stories
  • Our recommended pitch structure

29 June Session 3 –  Securing partnerships:

  • Three keys to unlock a partnership
  • How to build your relationship using personality preference insight
  • The Nine Nos of fundraising
  • Why you need to focus on little wins

“I attended the training and learnt so much about how to approach a company, what to say, when to say it and this has given me the confidence to make approaches I would never have considered. I've built partnership approaches off the back of it already!"

To get the most out of this course you need to attend the three workshops and there will be some work to do between the sessions.

If you are unable to attend all the sessions you can book just one or two and pay £40 members/£55 non-members per session. Please contact Winnie
