An Introduction to Project Planning

The key to any successful project is in the planning.  A convenient, self-paced and flexible learning experience for students, this short course is for anyone who is new to managing projects and would like to develop a better understanding of how to approach project planning, or for anyone who would like to refresh their learning and understanding of the subject.

What is NICVA Academy?

We are launching the first module on NICVA Academy, our new online e-learning platform, with FREE and EXCLUSIVE access to recipients of CFNI / Department of Health's Cancer, Carers and Mental Health Funds.  This module is delivered fully online, allowing participants access to the learning materials at anytime of the day or night.  Learners will receive a NICVA Academy Account, along with joining instructions before the module opens on 1 March 2024 at 12 midnight.

Content Module

Once the module commences you will have up to 8 weeks to complete the course and access the resources. It should take you approximately 3 hours of self-directed study and on completion you will be able to:

  1. Understand what a project is
  2. Identify and use appropriate project planning tools
  3. Explain how to set effective objectives
  4. Start to plan your own successful project

There are also free additional resources and useful links for each lesson that will enhance your learning and understanding of the topic.
