Completing the 2021 Census online - Skills Match webinar
Census 2021 is coming and this year, it will be run predominantly online. Completing the census is a legal requirement and the deadline for completing it is 21 March 2021.
The Census happens only once every 10 years and collects information about people and households in Northern Ireland. Data collected is used by central and local government, health authorities and many other organisations to plan and provide future services.
In partnership with Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency (NISRA) and as part of the Skills Match programme, we are hosting a webinar on Tuesday 16 February from 9am - 10am on all things census that will give attendees a preview of the new online census platform and provide advice on how to complete and submit the form before the deadline date (21 March 2021).
The webinar will be useful for individuals who want to feel prepared to complete the survey before it is released.
It is also suitable for HR professionals and/or those individuals working in the community, voluntary and business sector that want to provide extra support or training for employees or people they work with, that may face IT literacy challenges with a move to online submission.
At this webinar we will cover:
- What the census is
- Why the census is important
- How to complete the census online
We’ll also provide some fun census facts and information that will help you to use existing census data to find out more about your past. Could your ancestors have been a ‘toe rag’, a ‘knocker upper’ or even a ‘cow banger’? Census data can help you find out. It gives us a picture of the past, the present and the future.
As always, there will be an opportunity to ask questions. For more information, email [email protected].
This session will be facilitated online. We'll provide instructions and support for participants to get setup.
