Consultation seminar on regulation of gambling

Primary tabs

7 February 2020 -
10:00am to 12:00pm

The Department for Communities has opened a consultation seeking views about the regulation of gambling in Northern Ireland.

While the consultation document covers various aspects of gambling such as casinos and Sunday opening for betting shops, NICVA will be primarily focusing on the relevant policy areas which affect the voluntary and community sector, and in particular lotteries (raffles, draws, ballots)

This seminar is an opportunity to discuss the issues  with the current legislation and to have the opportunity to feed into NICVA's response on this consultation.

NICVA's briefing paper on the consultation is accessible here

Please see the Department's consultation paper on the Regulation of Gambling in Northern Ireland for full details of the consultation.
