This half day course is for you if you want to know more about how policy and decision-making works in Northern Ireland, and how you can influence it.

It will cover:

  • Understanding what lobbying is and putting together a campaign
  • Structures of government and their remits
  • Who is responsible for which policy areas and decision making?
  • Decision making processes and lobbying mechanisms.

We will explore ways to influence policy, looking at what channels there are in Assembly/Councils/Westminster and elsewhere.

We will also focus on how to design and manage a campaign.
