East Belfast TQUK Level 3 Award in Education and Training

Primary tabs

25 March 2019 - 10:00am to 15 April 2019 - 4:00pm

This ever popular course is back and some changes have been made to help learners improve their teaching practice. The level 3 award is designed for those working towards a teaching/training qualification or for those who don't want to take a qualification but want more information about how to teach/train effectively, for example, in your workplace if you train people as part of your job either in groups or as individuals.

Over the four days learners will be taken through the full process of teaching and training - known as the training cycle.  We have designed activities to help you think about how you teach and practical activities that will help improve your delivery.  The first three days, delivered on  25 March, 1st and 8th April 2019 from 10am - 4pm, cover the following areas:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a teacher
  • Barriers to learning and strategies to overcome these
  • The learning cycle and learning styles
  • Session Plans and schemes of work
  • Assessment types and methods
  • Visual aids and support

On the fourth day on 15 April 2019 from 10am - 4pm you will be recorded delivering a 30 minute microteaching session to your peers.  This will form part of your assessment along with three assignments required to achieve the level 3 award.
