A conversation about Climate Change and the role of faith

Faith communities have such potential to make a significant impact on climate action - they are accessible and to be found in every community, they are grounded in every community and can bring hope - combating eco-anxiety through spiritual insight. Faith groups can reach huge constituencies with environmental education and action - they can facilitate behavioural change.

One way this is happening is through 'ECO-Congregation Ireland'  Eco-Congregation Ireland (ECI) encourages churches of all denominations to take an eco approach to worship, lifestyle, property and finance management, community outreach and contact with the developing world. Their vision is to see churches of all denominations throughout Ireland celebrate the gift of God’s creation, recognise the inter-dependence of all creation and care for it in their life and mission and through members’ personal lifestyles.

Come and hear about what they are doing and how this initiative is changing the world one congregation at a time...

(Grounded zoom calls are informal conversations to ‘ground’ a big idea in practice and offer a time to connect with others from the faith and wider voluntary and community sectors.)
