We often collect a lot of information, but how do we make sense of it and use it wisely?

Every year we are asked by those who fund and resource our work to account for it in the form of numbers and quantities. But very often we collect a lot of information only to find that we have insufficient evidence, have counted the wrong data, or we can’t compare the data collected between projects because we didn’t think about what we were doing clearly enough at the outset.  We have all been there.

This practical session will look at why data is collected, different forms of data collection methods and looking at how to quickly and easily understand what needs to be collected and how it can be use defectively for both internal and external uses.
