NICVA's faith research describes faith-based social action as a 'loose and baggy monster' - is it possible to find a better way to represent and understand the significant community work undertaken by faith groups?

The faith sector has been described as a ‘loose and baggy monster’ without shape or form which is unsurprising as many new initiatives have been evolving in response to growing needs. This workshop will consider the findings of NICVA’s recent research into faith based social engagement and will outline a model that will hopefully generate discussion about the nature of faith in society and as an agent of support for those in need.
