Fundraising in this new context (CFNI)
There has been so uncertainty over the last six months and COVID 19 has resulted in changes in society due which have made a significant difference to the way we fundraise. Activities have had to be cancelled, delivery moved online and we have had to change how we do things in these challenging circumstances. As we look ahead we need to plan how to fundraise differently.
This online session will consider the current context to fundraising and impact of COVID 19 and give an overview of the things you need to consider as you plan your fundraising for the year ahead. It will describe the range of fundraising options available to you and help you consider the most suitable ones for your organisation. NICVA's Fundraising Advice officer Lynn Kennedy will deliver the session and will be joined by Nadine Campbell chair of IOF NI and Head of Fundraising for Age NI. Nadine will give an overview of the current environment from an IOF perspective and share her knowledge as a professional fundraiser.
The session will also include fundraising regulation and how that should guide our fundraising practice. Joanne McDowell from the Fundraising Regulator in NI will highlight the Fundraising Code and give examples of good practice in our sector.
This training is aimed to those new to fundraising in small and medium sized charities, or those who are involved in fundraising and want to refresh their knowledge.
This webinar is part of the Community Foundation for NI Accelerator Programme, funded by DfC. The Accelerator Programme aims to improve the skills and confidence of people in our sector and strengthen organisations at this critical time.
