31 October 2023 - 10:30am to 28 November 2023 - 10:30am

This qualification is ideal if you are a new, or aspiring, manager without formal training or have management responsibilities but no qualifications that reflect your experience. If you are currently managing staff, and are interested in developing your abilities and confidence, this is the course for you.

This award concentrates on areas that can often be the most challenging for managers: dealing with conflict and presenting to audiences. We also cover leadership styles, skills and behaviour and discuss how they might impact individual staff and teams in the organisation and investigate how you develop your leadership style to become an effective leader.

How will it be delivered?

We deliver this training through a combination of 3 one-hour online interactive sessions, one online assessment, guided self-study with tasks to complete for the online sessions, an assignment support session and one-to-one support if and when required for the completion of the assignments.

What does it include?

The course focusses on three key areas:

  • Understanding leadership
  • Understanding conflict management in the workplace
  • Giving briefings and making presentations

In the online sessions we will discuss your learning from the online resources that you have accessed at a time that suits you, and any tasks you have been asked to prepare. These tasks will support and prepare you for the unit assignments. All of the live online sessions are interactive and give you a chance to discuss and exchange ideas with others
